Brief about Haliyal TP:-
- Haliyal is a Panchayat Town in Uttara Kannada in the State of Karnataka ,The Town Panchayat(TP) Haliyal constituted in 1865,It Has Population of 20653 as Per Cenusus 2001, Haliyal is a around 10 Km North-east of Karnantaka and 44 Kms from Hubli,Shri Tulaja temple is Main attaraction in Haliyal,Nearest Airport is Hubli Airport
- A Taluk town, Haliyal is 162 kilometers from Karwar & 33 kilometers from Dharwad. The place has an ornate Mallikarjuna Temple in the Fort. The other temples of the town are the Maruti, Pete Basaveshwara, Venkataramana, Shri Rama and Dattatreya. The place has six Mosques and three Darghas, and among these, the Kasaba area Mosque is considerably old. The building is ascribed to the Adil Shahi times. The Durga of Umar Ali, Saint of Adil Shai days, attracts a large gathering during its annual Urs held ten days after Bakrid in the month of Zul Haj. The place has a Roman Catholic Church locally called church of the lady of miracles built in 1889.

COMPUTARIZATION:
- We are very happy to intimate the citizens of Haliyal Town that we have computerizes the Birth and Death certificates from 1990 to till date under state Government KMRP computerization scheme, from now on wards citizens are requested to visit the citizen service centre at the office for registration and getting of Birth and Death certificates by paying service fee. Citizens are requested to make use of this facility.
